Abstract
Ejaculatory dysfunction plays an increasing role as a cause of infertility. Spinal cord injury, dissection of retroperitoneal lymphnode for testicular cancer, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, and neurologic problems are all contributed to varying degrees of sexual dysfunction in the male. Recent case reports of the successful application of electroejaculation techniques for seminal emission & subsequent pregnancies have offered promising fertility altermative for cally, producing severe oligoasthenotheratospermia. Despite obtaining fairly normal seminal volume and often normal number of spermatozoa per ml; sperm motility rarely exceeds 10% to 20% in electroejaculation samples. The relatively low numbers of sperm required for in vitro fertilization has facilitated the use of variety of sperm preparations and insemination procedures. In this study, we present the first successful coordination of both electroejaculation and In Vitro Fertilization - Embryo Transfer (IVF-ET) in ejaculatory dysfunction patients with severe oligoasthenoteratospermia.
